Gum Treatment & Periodontal Disease

You may not realize it, but most Americans experience some form of periodontal disease in their lifetime. Periodontal disease, also known as gum disease or gingivitis, is an infection of the supportive tissues of the mouth due to toxic bacteria found in plaque.

Teeth Cleaning & Exams

Maintaining good oral hygiene is more than brushing and flossing your teeth. It involves caring for your gums and maintaining regular dental appointments as well.

During your first visit, Dr. Carson and the hygienist will examine your teeth and gums to evaluate your oral health. From this initial examination, we will develop a plan to help you maintain your oral health for the rest of your life.

Dental Sealants

Dr. Carson uses sealants to help prevent tooth decay. Dental sealants are a great preventive treatment that uses a thin resin coating that is applied to the grooves of the teeth to help protect them from decay. Sealants protect teeth by keeping food particles and bacteria out of these grooves which helps to protect the teeth from decay.

Sports Guards

Mouthguards protect the upper and lower teeth from potentially damaging blows and minimize the risk of injuries to the tongue, lips and cheek lining.

Digital Radiography

Experience this innovative technological advancement providing you with higher quality pictures and increased safety from the reduction in radiation exposure. Unlike traditional, film-based radiographs, digital x-rays allow you to see your teeth in more detail and can be saved in the Dr. Carson’s system for future reference and better dental records. Because digital radiographs are very efficient, you enjoy a more comfortable visit with less waiting and faster treatment.

Oral Cancer Screening

Dr. Carson and his hygienist perform a oral cancer screening on a regular basis.
